Euromed Workshop on Better Regulation and Regulatory Impact Assessment December 2012

 

The EuroMed Workshop on Better Regulation and Impact Assessment, organised by SIGMA and the European Commission’s Directorate for Enterprise and Industry, addressed an area for action highlighted in the Euro-Mediterranean Charter for Enterprises, namely, the need to introduce practices to assess the impact of new legislation on business, paying particular attention to SMEs. The workshop introduced participants to the general principles of regulatory management and provided an opportunity for the participants to undertake an impact assessment of a hypothetical policy on reducing damage to the environment by excessive use of plastic bags.
