Chisinau hosted a week of activities aimed at strengthening quality management in public administration in Moldova. This initiative builds on the successful 2024 piloting of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) in the Public Service Agency and marks a significant step forward in institutionalising quality practices across government bodies.
The week focused on two main objectives:
- Launching CAF implementation in the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova, including training the self-assessment team, designing the implementation plan, and defining next steps with the project team.
- Developing a national quality management roadmap, shaped through strategic consultations with key institutions such as the State Chancellery, Public Service Agency, eGovernance Agency, Ministry of Finance, and the Institute for Standardisation.
This work is part of SIGMA’s ongoing collaboration with the GIZ Regional Project “Public Administration Reform in the Eastern Partnership Countries III” (2025–2027), which supports modernisation efforts aligned with EU standards. The activities are carried out in partnership with the European CAF Resource Centre at the European Institute of Public Administration.
