The relations between Tunisia and the EU are defined by the Association Agreement, signed in 1995, the Action Plan for the Privileged Partnership, and  the Joint Communication of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and the European Commission: “Renforcer le soutien de l’UE à la Tunisie”, underlining the determination of the EU to further support Tunisia.

SIGMA, the EC and the Tunisian authorities agreed a work programme in January 2021 that gives priority in the period to June 2022 to co-operating with:

  • The Presidency of the Government, the General Agency for Monitoring Public Programmes (IGSPP), on the development of a monitoring framework for major reforms.

  • The Ecole Nationale d'Administration, the national school of public administration, on its future strategic orientation and the implementation of its activities.
