The SIGMA–NALAS Multi-Level Governance Conference, brought together central and local government representatives from the Western Balkans to explore effective multi-level governance. Organised in partnership with NALAS, the event featured discussions on decentralisation reforms, EU integration, and local government finance. Drawing on SIGMA’s 2024 Monitoring Reports and NALAS’ fiscal decentralisation insights, the conference offered a platform for peer learning, policy dialogue, and intergovernmental co-operation. Experts from the EU, OECD, and regional institutions shared tools, data, and strategies to strengthen local governance and support sustainable, inclusive development across South-East Europe.
