Seminar on organisational deconcentration policies of public services, Rabat 29 October 2013

Deconcentration of public administration is currently a main challenge for Morocco. Besides being a constitutional obligation, this policy is key for increasing efficiency and effectiveness of public administration and for improving the relationship between administration and citizens.

Within this context the Ministry of Interior asked SIGMA to prepare a comparative study on different models of public administration deconcentration in some unitary European countries. Denmark, England, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Turkey have been the selected cases.

A seminar, jointly organised by the Ministry of Interior and SIGMA, took place in Rabat on 29 October 2013 to present and discuss these experiences with a group of high-level civil servants from different ministries having a special role in the deconcentration process.
