EC Releases Communication on the Western Balkans
On 5 March the European Commission adopted its Communication, "Western Balkans: Enhancing the European Perspective". The communication evaluates progress in implementing previous EU commitments included in the Thessaloniki Agenda and in the EC’s January 2006 Communication. It also outlines next steps to promote the European course of the Western Balkans region through EC support to political and economic development. The proposals included in the Communication will be presented to EU Member States at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, to be held in Slovenia on 28-29 March. |
